The dog

Guys I have been pretty occupied by the dog recently and have started a blog about him (see linklist).
Also because the kids getting older and my time still being limited, I am thinking of closing down this one.
There is always Rotterdamdailyphoto too plus I am all over all sorts of social media so take your pick.

Loverboys

I dont know how we came across this subject but yesterday morning we discussed the phenomena of loverboys at the breakfast table and how these boys isolate girls from their family and friends and thus make them dependant. Timo and Morten were listening attentively and nodding every now and then and Caroline clearly could not imagine herself ever ending up in such a situation. Robbert said we wanted to make sure that they could always come to us even if they did something wrong or were ashamed or simply put, had a problem.

Without hesitation Caroline said: well, now that you mention it, I just cannot fall asleep at nights anymore.

She was very insulted when hearing the laughter.

Finally!!! We had judo exams today and Morten equals his dad in rank. Caroline and Timo did a great exam too and got a higher grade on their belt.

Sinterklaas

Just a couple more days and we'll be celebrating Sinterklaas at my sisters'. It's been weeks of shopping, wrapping and writing poems but I am almost done.
5 years ago my mother and granddad were still there and the amount of presents we shoveled from household to household was even bigger but this year my nephew's girlfriend is there too, so slowly our family is growing again. I like that a lot.

breaking news

when i got home today i caught Morten reading penthouse.
hahaha. he put it down immediately but simply because he over-reacted he made me think and look at what he was reading.

on another note: caroline learned the word (and meaning) of a dental dam recently and now throws this at the table every now and then.

any ideas anyone?
